Percussion links
Here's some links that strike members use.

Percussion groups
- Taikoz
- Australia-Japan Taiko Drumming Fusion
- The combination of an ancient Japanese art with modern composition is unique. STRIKE draws on Pacific rythms, and enjoys this group which draws from a different tradition.
- Ethos Percussion Group
- Since its founding in 1989 by Michael Sgouros, Ethos has remained committed to advancing the percussive arts in education as well as performance. In addition to presenting clinics and master classes at institutions such as The Juilliard School, Eastman School of Music and Berklee College of Music, Ethos has worked with thousands of students in New York City's public schools through concert and classroom activities.
- Ethos is an ensemble-in-residence at La Guardia High School for the Performing Arts, and in 2004 the group formed a satellite organization dedicated exclusively to arts education known as A href="http://ethospercussiongroup.com/worldbeat.html">World Beat.
- Where STRIKE likes to diversify our sound with contemporary break and drum and bass rhythms, these guys are at the forefront of contemporary classical percussion.
- Amadinda
- Amadinda has long been a huge inspiration for STRIKE, being probably the most famous classical percussion group of recent times.
- Amadinda Percussion Group was formed in 1984 in Budapest by four musicians, just after having graduated from the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music. Since founding the ensemble, the central point of their activity has been double. On one hand to present masterpieces of percussion music, unknown to the Hungarian audience so far, on the other hand to perform the music of Hungarian contemporary composers in their country and abroad.

Percussion hardware links
- Vic Firth
- They produce a range of drumsticks from a–z, and ship them worldwide for a good price. Their's are great quality, so worth the extra effort. Useful for anyone not using an African drum.
- Axis Pedals
- Axis Percussion specializies in precision foot pedals and drum hardware fabricated from aircraft grade aluminum and steel, each part being machined in their factory in the States.
I use these pedals and not only are they extremely durable and look great, they're versatile and can be used to feather the bass drum for light jazz playing, as well as being the most popular pedal out there for speed metal!
Tom- Cymbal shopping!
- This is a great site with a huge variety of cymbals and cheap prices! (especially with when the kiwi-US dollar is good). You can download quick examples of each one, and each example is a recording of the actual cymbal listed, not a representative sample. Since every hand made cymbal has its own voice, approaching a website in this regard is time consuming, but as a prospective buyer you can easily dismiss or accept models with more confidence!
